“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”

— Carl Jung

Finding a counselor can be intimidating.

But here you are and that’s a great start. If you’re considering taking the first steps in connecting with a counselor, know that you’ve already started the process of healing. If you’re hesitant because you’re afraid of what you might hear or find out about yourself, know this: I’m not here to tell you that the way you live your life is wrong or to pass judgment on decisions you’ve made. I’m here to help you identify when and where your thoughts and/or actions are getting in the way of having the life you want. Once we identify these struggles, we can start to address what changes you’d like to make.

I’m here to help.

A little about me…

When people ask me when I knew I wanted to be a counselor, I often struggle to remember an exact moment, or some revelation, that led me to this profession. I think in some way, shape, or form, I’ve been drawn to this work my whole life. I find it to be such a natural experience, connecting with others in their most vulnerable moments, and it’s my true honor to share your experiences, happy and sad, for a living.

Funny enough, even when we know something in our bones, life doesn’t always take us in a straight line. I worked for 10+ years in a corporate environment, loving any chance I had to engage in marketing activities (exploring the way people think and respond to things), employee engagement and appreciation (wanting people to feel seen, supported, and valued), and administrative activities (supporting other team members by keeping things organized and efficient). Those years didn’t always consist of the moments I loved and I learned a lot of hard lessons about workplace dynamics. I truly feel grateful for my time in the corporate world as it offered me the opportunity to support myself through school as well as to experience firsthand the ups and downs of office dynamics. I believe those years of experience allow me to offer a different perspective in sessions with clients.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor approved by the State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors to practice psychotherapy in Texas.  I received a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston and bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University.

I love animals and have a precious rescue pup, Pippa, and a sweet inherited kitty-cat, Sippi (often referred to as Pip and Sip). I have a newfound appreciation of nature and hope to continue crossing National and State Parks off my list of places to visit.
